Narbada Thapa is a self-taught dancer, performing Nepalese dance in traditional dress and with Nepalese music. She has danced in a variety of events around Tasmania, including performances at Harmony Day celebrations and at Parliament House.

Narbada was just eleven years old when her Bhutanese parents left Nepal to bring their young family to Australia in 2010. She was first interested in dance as a young girl in Nepal, and has remained passionate over the past 11 years, studying music, dance and drama throughout her school years. She creates her own dance routines inspired by her early years in Nepal and the opportunities she has embraced since arriving in Tasmania.

Narbada is currently in year 12 at Hobart College and hopes to study nursing in the future. Request performer
