Why did you start performing?
Dancing is a big part of our culture and it helps to spread joy and fun within the community. It is also a great medium to keep in touch with people who have same interest and fantastic way of keeping fit. Through Bollywood dance, we connect to the culture and diversity we grew up with.
What do you love most about performing?
Performing is the best part of the whole process. All the effort and hard work you put towards creating that piece of choreography is complete only when you put it all together in front of others. This is not only a great way to showcase the beauty of different culture, but also encourage you to be more creative and innovative.
What is your most memorable time in front of an audience and why?
Every performance is a memorable moment for a dancer.
One such memorable occasion is the day we taught Hobart hurricane cricket players some Bollywood dance moves few years back.
What are some of your other hobbies apart from performing?
Well, we are a group of people and we have dancers from different backgrounds. Most of us are either working full time or studying full time. Dancing is our main hobby; when we are not dancing we hang out together.
